In 2007, Project HX commenced with the construction of the Hoffman Audi building on Connecticut Boulevard in East Hartford. Since that time, all but one of the company's facilities have been reconstructed, totaling an estimated 212,000 square feet. With the completion of the Ford/Saab building in the spring of 2011, the Project will finally come to a close.

Project HX began in the early 2000s, a brainchild of both Jeffrey and Bradley Hoffman. They worked on plans for years until 2007, when ground was finally broken on Audi of East Hartford. Lexus and smart were next; both were completed in 2008. In conjunction with the projects in East Hartford, brand-new Nissan, Toyota and Honda dealerships were built in Avon-thus creating the only location in Connecticut that houses the "Big Three" altogether.
With reconstruction also came the re-branding of the company. The new Hoffman logo and slogan, "Driven By Trust" were unveiled in April of 2009. The co-chairmen have streamlined the business to reflect its growth; the company now has in-house public relations and marketing departments, as well as an online business development center.
Since 1921, Hoffman Auto Group has set the standard for the Connecticut automobile industry. From re-brandings to reconstructions Hoffman moves forward with their customer in mind. That is why each dealership boasts climate controlled drive-thru bays, free Wi-Fi and computer workstations and even children's playrooms, complete with toys. Customers can service their vehicles at any of the ten Hoffman franchises-Lexus, Audi, Porsche, Saab, smart, Toyota,Scion, Honda, Nissan or Ford-and take advantage of the loaner car program or shuttles to-and-from work.
